Meet Ryan Borger
Minister, First Church of Christ – Lynn, Indiana

Hi, I’m Ryan Borger, and I’m honored to serve as the minister here at First Church of Christ. My heart is to help people encounter the real Jesus and walk in the freedom, healing, and purpose that only He can give.

My journey with Jesus hasn’t always been perfect or polished. Like many, I’ve experienced deep pain and loss, losing my sister and her fiancé in a tragic car accident, and later my father to suicide. But through that pain, God met me. He didn’t just comfort me, He called me. He turned my pain into purpose and gave me a passion to help others know that same hope.

My wife, Payshence, and I, along with our amazing kids, love doing life and ministry together. Whether it's leading worship night, discipling others, praying over our community, or just laughing around the dinner table, we believe God is present in all of it.

At First Church, I’m committed to helping us grow as true disciples of Jesus, not just people who go to church, but people who are the Church. People who live with bold faith, real love, deep trust, and authentic community. We’re on a mission to make disciples who make disciples, and to be a church that welcomes the hurting, the searching, and the forgotten, because that’s exactly the kind of church Jesus came to build.
